VIDEO: Sunday Pedi

September 15, 201320 Comments

I’ve decided it’s time to take my YouTube page in a different direction. This video marks the beginning of this transition. In all honesty, I’m tired of vlogging. I’ve said everything I want to say. Now I want to make more professional content. I want to tell stories. Which means a LOT more sketches coming your way! Some series will still stay like Top 100, but for the most part, expect a consistent dose of sketches…even if I’m just Talking To Myself.

Part of the reason for the change is because YouTube channels that focus on a specific niche grow significantly faster than channels that don’t. And right now, my channel is all over the place. But an even bigger reason is because I need to get back to the reason I began YouTube in the first place: to showcase my ACTING ability without compromising my Christian values. With that being said, I hope you enjoy Sunday Pedi: a story of manhood and pedicures.

What do you think about this change?

I understand that I completely respect you for it. You have to stick with your passion and follow it–might be a few sore sports and sour grapes, but who cares? In all honesty if that’s where you’re being led GO AFTER IT! (: We support you, Scooter and we’ll throw you the alley any day. Well…I will at least. #ThumbsUp

    Hey scooter!
I’m really looking forward to this! It seems like a great idea and I know other youtubers who do that stuff and normally it turns out great! I honestly love those kinds of videos I normally find them quite funny. Keep up the good work! Sometimes you need to let go of a few things but then you make something even better and I think that’s what you’re trying to do! (:
    Thanks for the awesome videos!

    • Hey angela!
I know there are going to be some growing pains initially switching over to a more sketch-based channel…but hopefully it’ll work out in the long run!

I CANNOT wait to see what comes next for you. I have been spreading the Scooter Magruder love to everyone in my life ever since I stumbled on your channel last month. My tablet died the first night as I couldn’t stop watching your videos! You crack me up and “Talking to Myself” is hilarious!!!!

P.S. I showed my son your newest video and he can’t stop saying “I’m a Grown Man” in response to anything I say to him. TOO Flippin Funny!!!

    • Hey Emily! Thank you for spreading the word!!! It really does mean a lot 🙂

There’s a good chance there will be a new Talking to Myself video coming next Sunday so stay tuned!

P.S. Tell your son to Throw me the alley!

I am thinking of buying a new camera and the video quality of your videos is amazing! What kind of camera do you use?

    • Hey Carson, for almost every video I put that information in the description on YouTube! But I’ve been primarily using a Canon 60D with a Tokina 11-16mm lens with a Rodevideo Mic. You don’t need any of this stuff to make good videos though! It’s all in the writing and the personality!

Wzup, Scooter! I’m a huge fan. Ever since I first saw you in Swoozie’s “Adorable Ambush” video and saw vids on your channel, I’ve been a subscriber ever since. With that being said, I would really like to collab with you on a video. I’m produce music. I’ve collabed with Swoozie on numerous occasions. I’ve also collabed with Michelle Phan, KidHaru, and a number of other YouTubers.

    Here’s some of my work:
