VIDEO: LeBroning

This is by far the stupidest video I’ve ever shot in my entire existence. My arms still hurt from repeatedly falling over and over and OVER again. I even had a pillow in my backpack to try and lessen the impact from all the falls…it didn’t work. But alas, I still enjoy making these social experiments and this definitely was a social experiment.

It was interesting to see people’s reactions. The initial reaction of most people was to help me, but some people just kept walking without saying a word! DAHECK? Granted, a couple of them did know what I was doing, two people even saw the camera, but still. The fall still hurt!

This video was shot at the University of Central Florida and I definitely plan on doing more social experiments there, especially because there are so many diverse people I believe I can beat in a fight if it ever came down to it.

VIDEO: Black Man Staring at People

I told you guys I wanted to start doing social experiments and here is my first one! This video was shot at the University of Central Florida right before the Rutgers tailgate.

If you’re wondering how we filmed it, my friend Jonathan would go and sit down before me with a backpack and some shirts covering the camera, which you can see obscures the lens at times. After he gave me a signal, I would come in and commence the Black Man Staring At People. Definitely need a better setup though, cause I don’t have any lens that allows me to shoot people from SUPER far away. For the most part, the camera was right in front of everyone…they just never noticed it.

Not gonnna lie, it was highly awkward staring at these strangers. I didn’t really know what to say. Should I respond to their questions? Or would it be funnier if I just kept staring at them? In the end, I did end up laughing every time, I just cut each scene before you see it. And yes, I did let everyone know it was a prank. What do you guys think of my first social experiment? Should I keep going? Would you be interested in seeing some of the raw footage?

VIDEO: Stuff UCF Fans Say

As a resident of Orlando, I encounter a lot of UCF fans. While it is true there are plenty of Gator fans, Nole fans, and Hurricane fans to go around, UCF is definitely and up and coming school.

VIDEO: The Friend Zone – University of Central Florida

I decided to try something a little different this week and launch a new web series I call Magruder Mobile! The general idea is that I go to different colleges and universities and ask students questions on relationship advice, current events, etc. – your basic guy on the street video. At the end of each video, I pull one person aside to compete in the academic challenge where I ask 5 questions that any college student should know.

For the first episode, I decided to go to the University of Central Florida and ask students about the friend zone. It was pretty cool experience because a lot of people recognized me from Stuff UCF Fans Say!
